Cryptomeria japonica 'Elegans' is a medium-sized, conical shaped conifer. The finely cut, soft-textured, feathery juvenile foliage appears a blue-green colour then changes to a fresh green in summer followed by deep purple-bronze colours in late autumn and winter. This Cryptomeria is suitable for container growing and or ideal when planted in the garden as a 'stand out' plant.
